Talk on first Buddhist high school on
Pieper Toyama, head of the Pacific Buddhist Academy, the first Buddhist high school in Hawai‘i, discusses the school, and offers a Powerpoint presentation, Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Lihue Hongwanji Mission social hall on Kuhio Highway in Kapaia, mission leaders said in a press release.
The 9 a.m. family dharma service Sunday is a joint memorial service, birthday Sunday and dharma class, with refreshments.
All are welcome at both events, said the Rev. Midori Kondo, of the Lihue Hongwanji Mission.
This is also the last week to register for the Nembutsu seminar and retreat, scheduled for Friday through Sunday, April 14 to 16.
