Part-time Kilauea resident, actress Christine Taylor, who has been busy taking care of her second child with husband Ben Stiller, has recently signed on to do a comedy pilot for ABC, as reported by the Reuters/Hollywood Reporter.
The show is based on a 2005 memoir by Minnesota author Jennifer Jeanne Patterson, and examines a newly married couple’s transition from dating to marriage. Taylor, who has appeared in recent episodes of Fox’s “Arrested Development” and NBC’s “My Name is Earl,” will play the wife. Matt Letscher, “Gods and Generals,” will play the husband.
Taylor has appeared opposite her husband Ben Stiller in “Zoolander” and “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.” Patterson seems most excited about Taylor’s role in the Brady Bunch movies, recently telling the St. Paul Pioneer Press, “I love Christine Taylor. She’s Marcia Brady. Who doesn’t love Marcia Brady?” ABC will announce in May whether or not they intend to pick up the pilot.
