Demetrio Maltizo Ramos of Hanapepe died Feb. 3, 2006, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital, at the age of 87. A field equipment operator, he was born in the Philippines on May 15, 1918.
He is survived by his wife, Eusebia Ramos, of Hanapepe; daughter Cora Ramos of Hanapepe; sons Orlando (Remy) Guillermo of the Philippines, Romeo (Josephine) Ramos of Honolulu, and Erwin (Karen) Ramos of Hanapepe; sister, Adelina Flores of the Philippines; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on family members Feb. 18 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo. Mass will be celebrated by Father Edison at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Family members suggest casual attire.
