Students, teachers, staff and administrators at Kapa‘a Middle School will be conducting a second site-evacuation drill on Thursday at 8:15 a.m., according to a press release.
The drill will involve the evacuation of approximately 800 campus personnel (students, teachers and staff) down ‘Olohena Road, through the new roundabout, and on to the Kapa‘a New Park.
Kaua‘i Police Department officers will be assisting school leaders with this drill.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, and avoid the roundabout and bypass area during this scheduled time.
Students are encouraged to bring bottled water, a cap or hat, and shoes. The drill should be completed by 9:30 a.m.
