County of Kauai: Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division 4396 Rice St., Room 106 Lihue. Phone: 241-6350, Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Here are the 2006 election contests: Federal elections, U.S. Senate, one seat (six-year term); U.S. House of Representatives, two seats (two-year term).
State elections: governor, lieutenant governor, one each (four-year term); House of Representatives; Board of Education (Nonpartisan) six of 13 seats (four-year term).
Second School Board District (Counties of Hawaii, Maui, and Kauai) Second Department School District (Maui) one seat; Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) Board of Trustees five of nine seats (four-year term) not island residency, three seats; residents of Maui, one seat; resident of Oahu, one seat.
County of Kaua‘i elections (nonpartisan): mayor one seat (four-year term); councilmembers, all seven seats (two-year term).
