There are literally hundreds of funds offering financial aid to Native Hawaiian, other minority, gifted and involved students bound for college, but accessing them all can be difficult.
To make the situation easier, leaders of the Hawaiian Agencies and Organizations of Kaua‘i (HAO) are sponsoring financial-aid workshops for college-bound students and their families, they said in a press release.
All workshops are from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Feb. 8 at the Waimea Neighborhood Center; Feb. 16 at the Kapa‘a Elementary School cafeteria; and Feb. 22 at the Queen Lili‘uokalani Children’s Center (QLCC) on Kali Road in Lihu‘e.
Call the Kamehameha Schools office, 245-8070, or Kaui at QLCC, 245-1873, for more information.
