The Hubbard brothers are close not just because they share the same bloodline, but they’re also close to the top in the latest International Bodyboarding Association (IBA) rankings.
David ranks 12th in the world with 2,180 points and his brother Jeff pulls in at the 15th spot (2,163 points).
The Hubbards are the only United States boarders that are ranked in the top 35.
The closest USA athlete sits in 37th place (Jason Bitzer).
David moved up the rankings thanks to a first-place finish in the Rockstar Games Pipeline Pro dropknee competition.
The next contest is the Punta Rocas Contest in Peru, which runs from January 27-28.
