Okamoto takes Jr. Tennis title
Princeville’s Chas Okamoto won the 12-year-old boys division at the Wailuku Winter Sectionals on Jan. 13-16 in Maui.
He was the number one seed going into the tournament and took care of business with the win.
Lyndsey Tom also fared well in the 16-year-old division, with a runner-up finish. Tom went into the tourney unseeded and lost to the #1 seed.
Also at the tournament were Justin Vea (16s), Mikaiah Vea (14s), and Sarah Kukino (14s).
Looking for left-handed clubs
Left-handed golfers are surely hard to find around the island and a junior golfer, who’s a lefty, is looking for some left-handed golf clubs.
