Tetsuo Esaki
Tetsuo Esaki of Anahola died at home on Jan. 3, 2006, at the age of 80. Born in Papaa Valley, on Nov. 4, 1925, he co-founded Esaki’s Produce.
He is survived by wife, Keiko; two sons, Samuel (Karen) Esaki of Kapa’a and Daniel (Isabel) Esaki of Koloa; three daughters, Carol (Roy) Brunson of Denver, Jean (Don) Sasaki of Kona and Jane (Peter) McClaran of Lihu’e; 12 grandchildren; brother, Joseph T. Esaki of Kapa’a; sister, Michiko (Shoji) Kato of Pearl City, O’ahu; hanai son, Darryl Esaki of Anahola; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service to begin at 4 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Elizabeth C. Eaton
Elizabeth Carlos Eaton of Lihu’e, died Jan.15, 2006, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 60.
Born April 5, 1945, at Queen’s Hospital on O’ahu, she was a Home Health Care nurse for Hawaii Health Care Professionals and Nurse Finders.
She is survived by her daughter: Lisa Frankovic of Portland, Ore.; brother: Robert (Anita) Arconado of San Dimas, Calif.; two sisters: Evelyn (Robert) Haygood, Pascagoula, Miss., and Lynn Spears of Kapa’a; nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Kapa’a Seventh Day Adventist Church where service will begin at 6 p.m. Refreshments to follow. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Jane S. Souza
Jane S. Souza of ‘Oma’o died Jan. 13, 2006, at home at the age of 90.
Born June 7, 1915, on Kaua’i, she was a retired pineapple cannery worker.
She is survived by her husband: Antone Souza Jr. of ‘Oma’o and Kenneth (Carol) Souza of Kalaheo; one daughter: Patricia Carvalho of Lawa’i; two sisters: Ethel Farias and Bella Chandler, both of Kalaheo; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, at St. Raphael’s Church, where Mass will begin at 10 a.m. officiated by Father Larry. Burial will be in St. Raphael’s Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
