Although their record might not reflect the best of things, the Waimea girls’ soccer squad still has a lot of pride to defend in their pursuit of getting that elusive first win of the season.
The Menehune have shown flashes of brilliance this season, but their inability to put it all together through-out an entire game is their greatest downfall.
Tomorrow, Waimea will go up against the Red Raiders at Hanapepe Stadium. Kaua’i needs a win to keep pace with the Warriors, who are sitting pretty at 4-0.
Meanwhile, the boys’ race seems to be too tough to call right now, with Kapa’a up by one point over Waimea.
However, the Red Raiders could shake things up with a win over the Menehune on Saturday, who are still feeling snake-bitten by the Warriors, who erased their unblemished record.
