Sarah Kukino and Crystine Ito headed up the Kaua’i contingent of tennis players who were invited to play in the Aloha Airlines Jr. Championship vited Tournament.
The Kaua’i District Tennis Association announced that 12 youth tennis players from Kaua’i were invited to play in the tournament held Dec. 3-4 at the vited Central O’ahu Regional Park (CORP). Kukino won in the Girls’ 12 Novice division with Ito topping the Girls’ 16 Novice class. Those making the trip to the invitation-only tournament included Lezlie Tao, Justin Vea, Lyndsey Tom, Chas Okamoto, Crystine Ito, Dasha Khalyavina, Sam Dunham, Dylan Wehrly, Sarah Kukino, Madison Duarte, Joshua Quinlan, and Micah Quinlan.
