Even though both teams will feel a bit out of their home area on Saturday, both Kaua’i and Kapa’a will try to get their first win of the season at Hanapepe Stadium.
The Menehune boys creamed the Warriors in the KIF opener last Saturday and the Kapa’a girls cruised past the Menehune girls.
All soccer games this season will be played at Hanapepe Stadium, because of the construction projects at Vidinha Stadium.
The JV girls will start the festivities off at 10 a.m. and the JV boys will follow at 11:45 a.m.
Varsity action begins at 1:30 p.m. and the varsity boys kick things off at 3:30 p.m.
The Warrior boys could use the win against the Red Raiders, who gave the Menehune a run for their money last season.
Meanwhile, the Warrior girls look to continue their torrid pace towards a second straight KIF title.
On December 17, the Menehune and Red Raiders battle at Hanapepe Stadium. Then the junior varsity teams kick into high gear on Dec. 21.
