In case you haven’t heard: the IRS has given warning to one of southern California’s largest churches, All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, that it may lose its tax-exempt status for preaching an anti-war sermon two days before the presidential election of 2004. Does that come as any surprise? George just made another BIG mistake. I don’t think the good, decent members of the Episcopal Church are going to stand for this.
On the 5th of November, the United Methodist Church Board of Church and Society, George’s own church, spoke out against “…the unjust war in Iraq.”
The good people of this country, whatever their belief, are gathering. Let the games begin.
