Yukie Nonaka
Yukie Nonaka of Lawa’i, formerly of Maui, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 30, 2005 at the age of 76.
She was born in Lana’i City on May 22, 1929.
She is survived by husband, Masatoshi Nonaka; children, Gwen (David) Bueter of California; Sharon Nonaka of Lawa’i, and Warren (Colleen) Nonaka of Lihu’e; grandchildren, Ashley Nonaka, Cara Nonaka and Ryan Bueter; brother, Richard (Jane) Wataru of O’ahu; sisters, Kimie Kawahara of Maui and Sumie (Paul) Sakuma of Garden Grove, Calif.; nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Suzuki will begin at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Violet Chan Ting Ching of Wailua died at home on Oct. 31, 2005, at the age of 100.
She was born in Honolulu on June 15, 1905, and was a dedicated home-maker.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn (Dianne) Ching, Lincoln (Isadora) Ching; one daughter, Beverley Pang; one brother, Bernard Ting of Honolulu, 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa’a from 9 a.m. with Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Public Cemetery.

Russell Matsuyama Sr., of Kalaheo, died at home on Oct. 24, 2005 at the age of 45.
Born in Lihu’e on April 13, 1960, he is preceded in death by his father, Isami Matsuyama and mother, Mitsue Delostrico.
He is survived by one son, Russell Matsuyama Jr. of Lawa’i; two daughters, Lauren Matsuyama of Puhi and Brianne (TJ) Iwasaki of Lawa’i; granddaughters, Tylar and Rylee Iwasaki; brother, Roy (Laura) Matsuyama; sister, Cindy (Leonard) Alpeche; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel; service officiated by Pastor Maeda will begin at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Beatrice Abreu Jardin Capocci of Kalaheo, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 21, 2005, at the age of 81.
Born in Kalaheo on May 1, 1924, she was a retired airport security scanner with Freeman Guards.
She is survived by sons, Caesar (Kris) Jardin of Kalaheo and Gary (Heidi) Jardin of Anahola; daughters, Sandra (Dickson) Inouye and Maelynn (Kevin) Ikeda, both of Kalaheo; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry (Joyce) Abreu, Nelson (Mary) Abreu and Edward (Lucy) Abreu Sr.
Friends may visit with the family from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo; Mass officiated by Father Napoleon will begin at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Felipa Ramos Tumpap of Hanama’ulu died at home on Oct. 17, 2005, at the age of 88.
Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Aug. 18, 1917, she was a dedicated homemaker.
Survived by her husband, Jose Tumpap of Hanama’ulu; daughter, Marina Del Rosario of Hanama’ulu; three sons, Santiago (Maria) Tumpap of Honolulu, Loreto (Nena) Tumpap of Hanama’ulu, Juanito Tumpap of Hanama’ulu; two sisters, Luncia (Santiago) Antonio of Honolulu, Leonarda Ramos of Philippines; one brother, Abalino Ramos of Philippines, 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. with Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. by Fr. Bill Shannon. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens in Kapaia.

Richard Lapilio
Richard Alameida Lapilio of Anahola died at home on Oct. 21, 2005, at the age of 73.
Born in Honolulu, he retired as a maintenance worker with Kilauea Agronomics.
He is survived by his wife, Hanako Lapilio, of Anahola, two sons: Fred Lapilio, Mark (Ruby) Lapilio, both of Anahola; two daughters; Ramona Lapilio of Florida, Joanne (Sam) Keopuhiwa of Anahola, five brothers: Douglas Lapilio of O’ahu, Benjamin Lapalio of O’ahu, John Alameida of Minnesota, Jerry Miura of O’ahu, Paul Yeschenko Jr. of O’ahu; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. at the Kaua’i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
