Joichi Nadatani
Joichi Nadatani of Kekaha died at his residence on Oct. 21, 2005 at the age of 92.
Born in Lahaina, Maui, on Oct. 19, 1913, he was a retired Carpenter with Kekaha Sugar Company.
Preceded in death by his wife, Haruye Nadatani, he is survived by three sons, Kenneth Sadao Nadatani of O’ahu, Dean (Jeanne) Nadatani of Lawai and James (Fran) Nadatani of ‘Ele’ele; one daughter, Joy Kagawa of Waimea; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Private services were held.

Victoria Van Aman
Victoria Lynn Van Aman of ‘Ele’ele died Oct. 15, 2005, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 47.
Born Dec. 26, 1957, in California, she was a housekeeper.
She is survived by her husband: D.O. Lavern Van Aman; six children: Crystal Realy, Casarah Realy, Kenneth Gabbert, David Watkins, and Misty Watkins; mother: Adele Gabbert; four brothers: Michael Gabbert, Bob Gabbert, Jeff Gabbert, and Jay Gabbert; one sister: Wendy Gabbert; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Kalaheo Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Memo-rial Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary
