Koloa running back Caleb Licke continues to run around defenders this season, and this past weekend was no different.
Licke scampered 48 and 66 yards for two touchdowns against Kekaha in a JPW contest, for the 12-7 win. Alika Emayo scored Kekaha’s only points on a 24 yard run and a PAT run.
In the Koloa/Kekaha pee wee game, the Southsiders managed to shutdown Kekaha, 32-0.
Tanner Rivera enjoyed crossing the goal line one too many times, in fact, he scored four times on runs of 4 and 23, along with a 53 yard INT return TD, and a 9 yard touchdown catch from quarterback Brandon Scovel.
Dallas Correa kicked one two-point conversion and Kawika Texeira notched a 7 yard TD run in the waning moments of the fourth period.
Koloa also dominated in the midget game, with a 30-0 win. Kapena Tehero (1 yard run), Loren Duarte (1 yard run), and Hilton Delima-Kamai (60 and 31 yard TD run) put up the points for the southside squad. Trent Allianic kicked three two pointers.
Lihu’e dismantled Northshore, 19-7 in the JPW game. Brian Haz scored twice (1 yard run, 9 yard TD reception from Beau Kohatsu) and Kaimana Wilson (22 yard TD reception from Kohatsu) notched the other score for Lihu’e.
Rajan Baliaris scored on a 32 yard run for Northshore. Kawika Wellington ran in the PAT. A Kohatsu to Joshua Nagao pass gave Lihu’e its only PAT.
It was a close contest in the first half, as the Lihu’e midgets held a small, 12-10 advantage, but in the end, the Patriots defeated Northshore, 30-16. Paleku Yasay (60 yard run) and Christian Fort (5 yard TD reception from Trey Shimabukuro) were responsible for the Lihu’e touchdowns in the first half. Joe Enrique ran a fumble 69 yards to paydirt and kicked the PAT for North-shore’s eight points in the first stanza.
With just 38 seconds to go in the half, Northshore made the game a lot closer with a safety.
But it was all Lihu’e in the second half, as Cameron Largusa (44 yard run) and Yasay (26 and 30 yard runs) increased the margin. Kaipo Contrades scored Northshore’s only second half points on a 17 yard TD run.
Lihu’e dominated, and spread the scoring around in its pee wee game against Kapa’a, with a 28-0 win, thanks to Darren Acoba (36 yard run), Bron Dela Cruz (12 yard run), Isaac Ramboyon (3 yard run), and Travis Koga (65 yard kickoff return TD). Taran Tani kicked two two-pointers.
Hanapepe strangled Kapa’a, 32-6 in a midgets contest controlled by the westsiders. Allen Pancho (19 and 2 yard runs), Moises Feirro (41 yard TD reception from Jenzen Calcal), Kayle Santos (9 yard run), and Tyson Panui (3 yard run) crossed the goal line for Hanapepe.
Pancho kicked the lone two pointer. Kekoa Prem and Dalton Thronas connected on a 11 yard TD for Kapa’a’s only score.
