William Edward Wenberg
William Edward Wenberg died Oct. 5, 2005, at the age of 47.
Born May 10, 1958, he came from Los Angeles to follow his spiritual quest. He was an inspiring writer, and spent much of his time at Secret Beach writing poetry. He also loved hiking in to Kalalau to enjoy the scenery and its peacefulness.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Wing; brother, Keith; beloved wife Antonia Marie Wenberg; step sons, Michael, James and David (Shirley) Dieudonne; two grandchildren Chistopher and Chanel Dieudonne; and pets Ipo and Tiny Tim.

Betty Kim Kagawa of Waimea died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Oct. 15, 2005, at the age of 78. Born in Honolulu on Oct. 20, 1926, she was preceded in death by husband, Dr. Thomas Tatsuo Kagawa, and son, Sam Kagawa. She is survived by sons: William (Maribel) Kagawa of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; David (Cinthy) Kagawa of Waimea; and Paul Kagawa of Spokane, Wash.; daughters: Maile (Pat) Lam and Janet (Greg) Fong, both of Honolulu; daughter-in-law, Joy Kagawa of Waimea; 14 grand-children; brother, Earl Kim; sisters, Clara Amundsen and Rosie Chang. Funeral service officiated by Father Larry will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct., 21, at the Sacred Hearts Church, Waimea, followed by interment at Kauai Veteran’s Cemetery in Hanapepe, at 4 p.m. Aloha attire is suggested, and flowers should be omitted, according to family members.

Geraldine “Gerri” Stevens
Geraldine “Gerri” Stevens of Lihu’e died at her residence in Lihu’e on Oct. 12, 2005, at the age of 73. Born in Wyoming on Dec. 23, 1931, she was the proprietor of a doughnut shop in Lihu’e.
She is survived by her husband, James V. Stevens; daughter, Celia Hacker; son, Victor Stevens; mother, Doloris Morgan; sisters, Maxine (Richard) Harless and Marilynn (Dave) Deaver; and a brother, James Morgan. She is also survived by two grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary
