Both the girls and boys volleyball teams won last night at the Bernice Hundley Gymnasium. The girls defeated the Kaua’i girls in four sets and the Warrior boys made quick work of Kaua’i in three sets, 25-19, 26-24, 25-14.
Roller hockey opens up this fall
Kauai YMCA Roller Hockey League announces first ever Fall season starting October 22. For the first time, we will have an Open division, which will include adults and our older, more-experienced youths. Games will be held Friday or Saturday nights, or Sunday afternoons at the Kapaa rink. Anyone interested in playing roller hockey is welcome, whether experienced or not from 6 to 60. Kauai Umpires meeting
There will be a general membership and election meeting of the Kauai Umpires Association on Wednesday, October 12th at 6:30PM at the Koloa ball field pavilion. This meeting is for current umpires of both softball and baseball and anyone interested in becoming an umpire.

Pu’uwai postpones fund-raiser
Because of the possibility of being soaking wet with 5,000 donuts and 500 lbs. of Huli Huli Chicken outside of Big K-Mart this weekend, the Pu’uwai Canoe Club has opted to postponed its fund-raiser until October 15, after the Men’s Moloka’i race.
If anyone has purchased Krispy Kreme Donut or Huli Huli Chicken tickets, you can redeem them on Oct. 15 or they’ll take them back and give you a cash refund. Call Brian for more information at 635-6311.

Attention junior tennis players
Kaua’i District Tennis Association (KDTA) is recruiting youth aged 14-18 years old for Junior Team Tennis. Court fees are $30 and practices will be held Saturdays 1 P.M. at Kauai Community College Tennis Courts.
The season will be effective until December 18, 2005 and teams may be eligible for State Junior Team Tennis Sectional Championships in December 2005 in Honolulu.
