The likes of football, surfing, volleyball, bowling, and cross-country will dominate the island’s sports scene this weekend.
Starting with a jewel of a matchup in KIF football with first-place on the line, as Kaua’i goes up against Waimea and ending with the very first H.S.F. (Hawaiian Surfing Federation) contest of the season at PK’s, the sports calendar is filled up with all sorts of sports.
The annual Waimea cross-country Invitational begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Menehune campus.
KIF bowling gets underway on Saturday, starting at 2 p.m. at Lihu’e Lanes.
Meanwhile, KIF volleyball is about to get real interesting on Saturday with a pair of tough matches, between Waimea and Kaua’i.
The start time for the contest is at 5 p.m., with the boys’ match beginning no earlier than 6:30 p.m.
The JV volleyball roundrobin tournament switches to Kapa’a High School on Saturday and Pop Warner football heads to Hanapepe Stadium on the same day.
If that’s not enough, just wait until next week when the drags burn up at Mana, next week Sunday.
