Girls U8
The Kapa‘a Roxys faced the Wailua Tiger Girls in their first game of the season. Playing for the Roxys were: Kasen Tone, Alexandria Croydon, Shaelyn Chand, Kayla Phillipson, Kamio Shimabukuro, and Shania Weigle. Scor-ing for the Tigers were: Corrina Garton, Janae Souza, Kiana Souza, and Iyana Ischay. They were assisted by teammates Kalau Tanaka-Pesamino, Sydney Brady, Maleah Mitchell, and Sara Morimoto. Ann Croydon coaches the Roxys and Kevin Souza coaches the Tigers.
Kapahi vs. Wailua
The first game of the season for the Devil Rays was an exciting and successful start for the team! The offensive skills were highlighted by Leighton Moniz and Kai Anderson with two goals each. A stellar offensive and defensive performance by Les Aki was capped off with another goal for the Rays. The defensive force was unreal with spectacular saves and blocks made by Kirk Machado, Shawn Yamane, Julian Coccimiglio and Les Aki who all played goalie for the Rays.
U8 Boys: Wailua vs. Hanalei
In the U8 division, excite-ment was in the air as the Wailua Sea Dragons played Hanalei in their first game of the season on Saturday at the Wailua Homesteads Park. Both teams played outstandingly.
The Sea Dragons exploded on the field as each member took his turn scoring, giving assists, and defending their goal. Team members are Raymond Duarte, Jayson Hawthorne, Jonah How-ard, Coleman Langstaff, and Tavish McGreevy.
Cheers to Hanalei for only having four members on their team. They played hard and were good competitors. Team members for Hanalei are Joel Deblin, Cory Paik, Thor Haug-land, and Conner Grubb.
