Of the big three sports (football, baseball, basketball), Kaua‘i also dominated by taking all four of the championships.
The Red Raiders were the only KIF school to garner a state championship as well.
The Kaua‘i boys’ golf squad successfully defended its state title, with another win this season on Maui.
Besides football, baseball, girls’ and boys’ basketball, Kaua‘i also won KIF titles in boys’ air riflery, boys’ bowling, cheerleading, girls’ cross-country, boys’ and girls’ golf, softball, boys’ swimming, girls’ and boys’ tennis, girls’ track and field, boys’ and girls’ volleyball.
Waimea dominated in canoe paddling with a championship run in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions. The Menehune also captured titles in boys’ track and field, boys’ soccer, girls’ bowling, and girls’ air riflery.
Kapa‘a won its two titles in girls’ swimming and girls’ soccer.
The Island School boys’ cross-country squad brought home the only title for the Voyagers.
Meanwhile, fellow private school, Kula failed to capture a title last season.
Due to school size, both Kula and Island only participate in a small number of sports.
