- As of April, more than 900 warrants had not yet been served on Kaua’i individuals in breach of the law. County Councilmember Shaylene Iseri-Carvalho said some of these outstanding warrants were for dangerous felons who had six-figure bail amounts set on them.
- State general-fund revenues for the month of May 2005 totaled $414.6 million, according to the state’s Department of Taxation. Cumulative general-fund deposits for the current fiscal year are $3.6 billion, which represents a 17.3-percent increase over the corresponding period for the prior fiscal year.
