The University of Hawai‘i Rainbow baseball team (24-23, 11-10 WAC) take their six-game winning streak into their final home series against Fresno State (25-25, 11-10 WAC), with the opportunity to stay in the WAC race on the line.
Both teams are tied for second place in the WAC standings with Nevada, just two games behind conference-leader Rice.
The Wolf Pack host the Owls this weekend in Reno.
The series also will be the last home series for the ‘Bows this year and the last for seniors Ricky Bauer, Stephen Bryant, Gregory Kish, Schafer Magana and Nathan Thurber.

KFVE the home team (Channel 5) will broadcast all games live this week with Jim Leahey handling the play-by-play and Pal Eldredge providing color commentary on Thursday and Saturday and former Rainbow Derek Honma on Friday.

Warriors ranked 7th in final poll
The University of Hawai‘i Warrior volleyball team ended the season ranked seventh in the final USA Today/CSTV Top 15 Division I-II Men’s Coaches Poll released today.
The Warriors finished the season with a 19-9 record, losing to Long Beach State in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation quarterfinals.
Pepperdine, who won the MPSF title, claimed the NCAA Division I crown this past weekend knocking off UCLA in five. The Waves finished atop the poll with a 25-2 mark, while UCLA was second.
Rounding out the Top 5 were Long Beach State, Penn State, and UC Santa Barbara. Cal State North-ridge was sixth ahead of UH.
Hawai‘i has already put together its 2006 Outrigger Invitational with three of the four NCAA semi-finalists: Ohio State, UCLA, and Penn State.
The invite is slated for January.
