Kukui Grove Macy’s customers, employees give
The Kukui Grove Center Macy’s store placed eighth out of all 146 Macy’s West stores (six West-Coast states, Hawai‘i and Guam) in the “Thanks for Sharing” campaign, and in addition to contributing to some $225,000 raised in Hawai‘i for nonprofit organizations, won $5,000 from Macy’s West leaders to donate to the charity of their choice. United Way organizations, the American Heart Association Hawai‘i affiliate, Boys & Girls Clubs and the Hawaii Foodbank all benefited from the charity of customers and employees. All told, Hawai‘i Macy’s West stores took all but one of the top 10 positions in the Thanks for Sharing campaign held over the 2004-05 holiday season.
