The Kaua‘i All Girls Rodeo Association will present two special women’s rodeo clinics taught by world-class professional cowgirls from April 21-24 at the CJM Country Stables in Po‘ipu.
Barrel racer Molly Powell and cowgirl roping champion Jody Sarchett will hold their Competitive Edge” clinics with an emphasis on winning techniques, including horsemanship, positive attitudes, tack and training.
Powell is an eight time National Finals Rodeo qualifier and won the 2004 aggregate title with a total time of 140.93 seconds on 10 runs. She reigns as second in the world of professional barrel racers. Powell also won a Gold Medal at the 2002 Olympic Command Performance Rodeo.
Sarchett holds many national professional titles, including All Around Break-Away Roping Champion and Team Roping Circuit and Reserve championships.
The clinics are open to everyone interested on a first-come, first serve basis. The number of riders is limited, so please register early. Deadline has been set at March 15.
The Break-Away Roping Clinic will be on Thursday evening and all-day Saturday, April 21 and 23.
The Barrel Clinic will be Friday evening April 22 and all day Sunday, April 24.
Total fees are $225 for one just one clinic and $400 for both. Auditors are welcome at $35.00 per session.
