The second rodeo of the 2005 Kaua‘i All Girls Rodeo series is scheduled for Sunday, March 20 at CJM Country Stables in Poipu (about a mile down Po‘ipu Road past the Hyatt).
The action begins at 10 a.m. with the Grand Entry ceremony, followed by fastpaced competiton in barrel racing, pole bending, steer undecorating, team roping, goat tying and breakaway roping.
Contestants are Kaua‘i cowgirls ranging in age from grade schoolers to grandmas.
Admission is free to the public. Hats, sunscreen and umbrellas are recommended for the spectators.
There’ll be a lunch wagon with local favorite foods and an All Girls Rodeo Association logo items available for sale.
