Trevor McCracken had 3 goals and 1 assist, and Kawai Peahu and Cascade Mayer each had 3 goals for the Pythons. New goalie Grant Basquez had two solid games for the Pythons.
Cidney Sitzler scored the lone goal for the Flyers and Jean-Luc Tremblay amassed 4 goals for the Icebreakers.
In an exciting back and forth contest, Cole Pemberton put in the tying goal for the Icebreakers with a second left.
In the Bantam (12 to 13) division, the Hesse Flooring Menehunes lost to the Cold Stone Glaciers 6-4, then skated past the previously unbeaten Bounce House Sharks, 7-1 for their first win.
Zeb Leech-Kritchman led the Menehunes with 4 goals and 1 assist and Maegan Pablo contributed 2 goals and 1 assist. Tyler Dora scored 3 goals and 2 assists for the Glaciers.
The division is turning into a competitive one with 3 evenly matched teams where victory may be determined by the play of their goalies.
In the Midget (14 to 17) division, the Allstate Insurance Rangers defeated the South-paw Board Bangers 4-1, and then were tied by the Blair Estate Bruins 2-2 in day’s most exciting game.
Evan Gerber and Shane Shimanuki both scored 2 goals for the Rangers. Ikaika Fuerte scored the lone goal for the Board Bangers.
Tyson Wakayama and Hatch Benners notched goals for the Bruins, but it came down to goalie Ryan Swanson to hold off the Rangers who peppered him with shots, especially towards the end.
Swanson amassed 43 saves and Ranger’s goalie Alohi Costa also had an outstanding game with 26 saves.
