A former Sears employee, Alaric Villatora, pleaded guilty to theft charges in Fifth Circuit Court Thursday after stealing $500 from the register, prosecutors said.
Villatora, 20, pleaded guilty to a single second-degree theft charge as the result of a plea deal. The deal stipulated that prosecutors will ask for no more than 90 days jail, provided he follow certain conditions.
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jennifer Winn said that Villatora took money out of the Sears register three times, which totaled $500.
