Perfect swimming conditions and a near-perfect start for the Kaua‘i High School swimming squad, who took home the first-place medals in the boys and overall divisions at the First Annual KIF Swim Relays on Saturday at Kaua‘i High School’s Pool.
Perfect swimming conditions and a near-perfect start for the Kaua‘i High School swimming squad, who took home the first-place medals in the boys and overall divisions at the First Annual KIF Swim Relays on Saturday at Kaua‘i High School’s Pool.
Kapa‘a High School edged the Kaua‘i High School girls for the girls division title.
Kapa‘a finished just five points behind Kaua‘i in the overall contest and the Warriors were 18 points shy of the Red Raiders in the boys division. Kaua‘i trailed the Warriors by 13 points in the girls competition.
Kapa‘a’s Jennifer Lindsey was the girls senior sprint winner.
Meanwhile, on the boys side, Kaua‘i’s Nick Murray took home the gold with the boys senior sprint win.
Island School hosted the first-ever event, with athletic director Ro Davis on the loudspeaker.
All winning teams also established new meet records. KIF swimming kicks off this Saturday with a pentangular meet, starting at 10 a.m. at Kaua‘i High School’s pool. All meets will be held at Kaua‘i High’s pool. This Saturday’s match will be hosted by the Red Raiders.
