WAILUA – A man was arrested following a stabbing incident in the Coconut Market Place parking lot last night.
During the altercation, a 24-year-old Kapa‘a man was apparently seriously injured from a single stab wound. He was transported by ambulance to the Wilcox Memorial Hospital emergency room, where he was treated.
The suspect, a 32-year-old male, was apprehended by witnesses at the scene, then turned over to the custody of Kaua‘i Police Department officials.
He was released pending investigation on the possible charges including attempted murder and terroristic threatening. But he is being held at Kaua‘i Community Correctional Facility on parole violation charges.
County officials would not release his name.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
