USA Weekend’s “Make A Difference Day” has made a difference on Kaua‘i.
Winning volunteer projects on Kaua‘i that have been awarded citations from the program include the Gateway Project in front of Lihu‘e Airport and a project completed by Kalaheo Elementary School.
A restoration project at Koke‘e and other local works are being planned for next Saturday, October 23, which is the offical “Make A Difference” day. Hopefully they will recieve one of the coveted awards next year.
Not only do the organizations receive a handsome certificate, they are also named in copies of USA Weekend that are read in millions of homes across the western United States.
