Dorotea Lisue Pedroza of Koloa, died Sept. 22, 2004, at Straub Clinic & Hospital at the age of 87.
Born in Cebu, Philippines, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by son Andres “Sonny” Pedroza of San Bernadino, Calif.; daughters: Josephine Westwater of Honolulu, O‘ahu, Carolyn Williams of Wailua, Bonnie (William) Halfacre of Makaha, O‘ahu; brother: Eugene Lisue of Mesa, Ariz.; sister Patsy (Mike) Pepito of Salinas, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6 at Lawai 7th Day Adventist Church; funeral service over the ashes will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Vic Ariola officiating; private inurnment service.

Carmen V. Rivera of ‘Oma‘o, died Sept. 26, 2004, in Redding, Calif., at the age of 79.
Born July 2, 1925, in Koloa, she retired as an electronics supervisor in the Bay Area of California.
Preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Rivera, she is survived by son Daniel (Jeannie) Rivera, Jr., of Springfield, Ore.; three daughters: Carmen (Raymond) Foster-Smith, Redding, Calif., Dorothy (Dave) Griswald of Fremont, Calif., and Diana (Dave) Dittman, of Nice, Calif.; two brothers: William Vales of Pearl City, O‘ahu and Henry Vales of Vacaville, Calif.; three sisters: Lucy Pacheco, ‘Oma‘o, Virginia Toress, Oma‘o, and Emily Toledo, Lawa‘i; 11 granchildren, three hanai grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 11 hanai great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 7, at Kauai Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Service will be at 11 a.m. with burial at Kauai Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

Rose Marie Lawrence of ‘Ele‘ele, died Sept. 25, 2004, at Hilo Medical Center at the age of 72.
Born July 24, 1932, in ‘Ele‘ele, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters: Valerie Rodriguez of ‘Ele‘ele, and Jenny Sosa of ‘Ele‘ele; sons, Elmo Tafoya, Jr of Honolulu and Lawrence Tafoya of San Jose, Calif.; mother: Annie Gonsalves of Kapa‘a, sisters Annie Rodrigues of Pahoa, Bernice Silva of Pakala, and Janice Robles of ‘Ele‘ele; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Dodo Mortuary, Inc.
