Marcela Bisarra of Kekaha died Aug. 23, 2004, at Straub Hospital at the age of 78.
Born Feb. 1, 1926, in the Philippines, she was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by her son, Frederico Bisarra, she is survived by her husband: Francisco Bisarra, six sons: Alfred (Nida) Bisarra, Francisco (Vangie) Bisarra, Jr., Franklin (Anita) Bisarra, Salvador (Renee) Bisarra, Arsenio (Estrella) Bisarra, Gavino (Birgit) Bisarra; four daughters: Imelda “Amy” (David) Fernandes, Revelina (Rey) Dequit, Gloria (Amado) Cortez, and Rosemarie (Mike) Rodriguez; two brothers: Quirino Santiago and Rodrigo Santiago; two sisters: Maria Galiza and Inocencia Pilla; 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Friday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m.. Cremation will follow.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Bert T. Mizukami
Bert Takashi Mizukami of Kekaha, died Aug. 24, 2004, at his home at the age of 51.
Born Oct. 14, 1952, in Honolulu, O‘ahu, he was a plumber. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Plumbers Local Union 675 and a member of the Waimea United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife: Gayle B. Mizukami of Kekaha; one son: Shane K. Mizukami of Honolulu; one daughter: Leisha S. A. Mizukami of Oregon; two sisters: Joyce M. Kim of Honolulu an Dianne M. (Robert) Smith of Kekaha; one brother; Miles H. Mizukami of ‘Ele‘ele; his mother-in-law: Sue Ishikwa of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11, at Waimea United Church of Christ at 9 a.m. with a celebration of life service to begin at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Pacific on O‘ahu at Punchbowl at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
