Larry Tatsumi Sakoda of Waimea, died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Aug. 7, 2004 at the age of 84. Born in Waimea on March 28, 1920, he was the retired proprietor/photographer of Larry’s Studio in Waimea and also a member of the 100th Infantry Battalion.
He is survived by daughter, Susan (Richard) Nawai of Kekaha; one grandchild; three sisters, Rachael (Fred) Kishida of Hanapepe, Jane (David) Reis of Honolulu and Masayo Sakoda of Waimea; numerous nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery Pavilion. Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
