Earlier in the evening, Christina Banach and Rasha Banasihan netted eight points each for the Westside Hornets I to beat the C-Town Girls, 35-18. Shelcie Rapoza-Dela Cruz notched five points for C-Town in girls 14-and-under action.
Irah Nishi led Kalaheo with 10 points to pace his team to a 39-33 win over the Westside Hornets. Basil Walton had 10 points in the loss for the boys 16-and-under game.
The Lihu‘e Maniacs (BU12) controlled the game from the jump. Scoring their first 31 points by the half sealed the victory with shared scoring among the team. Lihu‘e won 39-12. High Scorers for Lihu‘e were Scot Sasan with 8 points followed by Anthony Trek, and Micah Cummings with 6 points each. Kawelo Lidsey led the Hustlers with 4 points.
The Hanamaulu Boys edged out C-Town in the final minute of the game, 41-15 This battle went back and forth and was anyone’s game. It was the Boys who kept the composure to finish with the win. Both teams were plagued with fouls with each team having 21 fouls each.
It was Davon Florence 3 Three pointers in the first half that kept the Boys in, plagued by 4 fouls at the half he sat the 3 period out before coming back in the final period to add another 4 points for his teams high scorer. Cameron Largusa added 12 critical points and Cody Morden with six points in all in the final period sealed the victory. Kekoa Colipano and Kea Lopez both played a very intense game leading C-Town with 12 points each, followed by Austin Simao and Brandon Ventar with 5 points each.
Eastside controlled the tempo of the game from the get go. Leading Gee unit at the half with a 29-18 point margin the Eastsiders maintained the lead winning the last two periods 27-16 for the victory, 56-34. High scorers for Eastside was Malu States with 13 points followed by BJ Melchor with 11points and Urijah Phillips contibuting 10 points and Sean Shigematsu with 9.
Gee Unit were led by Cody Valpoon with a game high 22 points followed by Princeton Gee adding 8 points.
