Drug Awareness Training for soccer
The Kaua‘i Soccer Association (KSA) in conjunction with the office of the mayor is holding drug awareness training.
The training is manadatory for all KSA coaches and assistant coaches.
It is also open to all parents and coaches of all sports.
Thursday, April 29 is the date for the drug awareness training program that will be held at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School cafeteria starting at 7 a.m.
Keynote speaker will be Gary Shimabukuro.

T.J. Kua fourth in IJGT at Arizona
T.J. Kua, 14, of Lihu‘e finished fourth in the International Junior Golf Tour tournament played at the Westin Kierland in Scottsdale, Arizona over the Easter weekend.
Playing in the Boys 13-15 division, Kua carded a 73-71-144 to tie Austin Uhl of Phoenix (72-72-144).
The tournament is one of 45 events on the 2003-04 IJGT Tournament Schedule which brings together some of the best junior golfers in the world to compete at some of the world’s finest golf facilities.
Dean Tonneslan of Fresno, California, and Taylore Karle of Scottsdale, Arizona captured the boys and girls titles for this tournament.
Tennis jamboree now set for May 2
A round robin adult tennis jamboree and team captains’ meeting originally scheduled for this Sunday, April 25 at Kiahuna Tennis and Swim Club, has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 2, at 1 p.m. at the Po‘ipu Kai Tennis Club.
The jamboree includes an adult, round-robin tournament. The U.S. Tennis Association Kaua‘i adult league starts Thursday, May 8.

The sectional championships will be held in mid August at Kapalua, Maui.
Kanna Scholarship Foundation Golf Tourney on May 8
The Second Annual George A. Kanna Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament will be held on May 8 at the Wailua Golf Course.
Please note that registration starts at 6 a.m. with a Shotgun start starting at 7 a.m.
A banquet will follow at the 19th Hole Restaurant at the Wailua Golf Course.
Through the support shown for the First George A. Kanna Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament, the foundation was able to present graduating seniors with three scholarships last year.
