Riley Takayama’s 1969 Camaro Z28 sponsored by Matsuda Bros. and Taba/Auto Value Parts, topped the Pro ET Class sponsored by Destination Autoworks at the recent Garden Island Racing Association’s first night drag race of the season on Mar. 6.
Takayama, dialing in at 12.720, ran a 12.834 to win the class over Mario Hendricksen’s S10 pickup who dialed in at 13.700 and ran a 13.672.
My Paden’s 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee sponsored by Speedie Lube topped the Super Street ET class sponsored by The King Auto Center, the Jeep dialing in at 15.310 and running a 15.435.
Jon Nakamura’s 1988 Ford Mustang broke out on a 14.525 run over his dial in 14.540 for second place.
Marc Parales’ 2004 Dodge Hemi RAM pickup sponsored by Destination Autoworks topped the Street ET Class with a 15.600 dial-in and a 15.723 run over Eric Garcia’s 1989 Honda CRX that ran a 16.704 over his 16.450 dial-in.
