19U playoffs begin tonight
The final season games saw Jeremy Manuel light up the boards for 13 points followed by Jordan Shea adding 10 points as Kalaheo got past the Southside Boys, 39-31 in the KYBA 19U boys basketball Teen League Tuesday night at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Josh Bradbury led the Southside scoring with 13 points followed by Ross Acoba adding six points.
Aaron Hesapene exploded for a game-high 20 points to lead the Westside Klowns to a 45-33 showing over ZZ (Lihu‘e Venzon) with Jordan Rabot adding nine points.
Amini Ta‘ufo‘ou topped the ZZ scoring with 13 points followed by Ryan Cram adding ten.
Roli Sagisi finished with 20 points to lead the Hanamaulu Boys to a 54-50 edge over Lihu‘e Medina who were led by 15 points from Brandon Ballesteros, Aaron Medina and Matt Palaroan each adding 12 points in the win.
Chris Mundon joined Sagisi with 14 points to help HB.
Off-road Poker run scheduled
Kaua‘i’s Off-Road Riders, a non-profit organization, will be holding an off-road motorcycle Poker Run event on Sunday, Apr. 4 at Camp 1 Bay in Port Allen.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with the event getting under way at 10 a.m.
There will be classes for all riders with off-road motorcyclists, quads, mini bikes, and mountain bikes welcome.
Participants should bring two gas containers.

Motiv8 U10B scores
Trevor McCracken scored the decider with an assist from Josh Cram as the Motiv8 Under 10 Boys notched their first win of the Kaua‘i Soccer Association recently.
Due to the Kirk Banks AYSO tournament taking place on O‘ahu, there will be no KSA games locally.
The next games will take place on Saturday, Apr. 3 at the Wailua Houselots Park and the Kapa‘a Beach Park.
Porter-King to appear on 808 Golf
Mary Bea Porter-King of the USGA Championship Committee will be appearing on a 30-second commercial spot on 808Golf TV this weekend to help get the word out about Hawai‘i’s history-making tournament opportunities.
The 2004 Hawai‘i State Amateur Stroke-Play Championship will be highlighted this Saturday, Mar. 27 starting at 8 p.m. on OC 16 presented by the Turtle Bay Resort, and sponsored by Alpine Industries.
Tournament action and interviews will fill the 30-minute show including a golf tip by Matt Hall of the Turtle Bay Resort Golf Club, and a tech tip by Jason Sakamoto about Oakley eyewear’s technology in their products.
There will also be prizes that viewer may win from Titleist, Ben Hogan, Precept, Pearl Country Club, and Divix Golf.
Scotty Blaisdell is the show’s host with Melisa Uchida as the guest host.
Repeat telecasts will take place Sunday, Mar. 28 at 4 a.m., 8 p.m., Monday, Mar. 29 4 a.m., 10:30 p.m., and 12 midnight, and Tuesday, Mar. 30 at 6:30 a.m., and 2:30 p.m.
