Scotch 4-Ball starts Mar. 21
The Aloha Section PGA will conduct their first major championship of the 2004 season on March 21 – 22, 2004 at the prize winning Arnold Palmer – Ed Seay designed Hapuna Golf Course on the Big Island. The Big Island Candies Scotch 4-Ball Championship will feature a 36-hole stroke play team event beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Kevin Hayashi (Mauna Kea Resort) and Lance Taketa (Hilo Muni) will be on hand to defend their title. Twenty-two (22) teams of forty-four (44) island professionals will be playing for a purse of $8,000.
This event is normally a member-only event, and in an effort to increase participation, the Section is allowing apprentices in good standing to participate this year. The event will be preceded by a Mahalo Pro-Am tournament for corporate clients of the title sponsor – Big Island Candies.

Correction
The Keiki and High School rodeo cowboy was identified as Randy Brun on page B1 of Tuesday’s sports page.
The identity of the cowboy is Judd Napier, an O‘ahu competitor who preceded Brun in that event.
TGI Sports regrets the mistake.
