Lydia “Ligi” Cox
Lydia “Ligi” Kahiwakawaiola Milar Cox, of Hilo, died on Jan. 31, 2004 at Hilo Medical Center at the age of 57.
Born in Hilo on Nov. 14, 1946, she was retired from the federal government as a Computer Specialist for the Rural Development Agency and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints n Ainaola Ward.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Clarisse Katigawa) Cox of Hilo; daughter, Liana (Michael) Soong of Kapa‘a; hanai daughter, Kuualoha M. Cox of Hilo; three sisters, Margie Hanselman of Hilo, Betty (Charles) Langer of Hilo, Desiree (Ivan) Okinaka of Hilo; two brothers, Feliciano (Audrey) Milar Jr., of Huntsville, Alabama, Pedro (Iris Oda) Milar of Hilo; eight grandchildren, one aunt and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Feb. 6, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints n Ainaloa Ward. Burial at the Homelani Memorial Park followed.
