HANAPEPE — For women in search of that last minute clothing item, there is a new option here on Kaua’i.
Jenz Trenz, which is owned by Jennie Balisacan, recently moved locations in early January.
The consignment store opened in October of 2003 in Hanapepe. However, Balisacan decided to move to a bigger location on 3900 Hanapepe Rd, Suite B.
The new 350-square foot location is home to many different types and styles of women’s clothing.
“I wanted to provide the women of the island another location to find good, quality clothing at an affordable price,” she said. “It is convenient and I am having fun doing it.”
Balisacan offers a variety of new and used clothing, shoes, handbags and jewelry for women.
The motto of the store is “Everything a women wants and needs.”
So far, the owner has over 30 accounts in which women bring their clothing to Balisacan and then the owner sells them to the interested customers.
“The value in this process is that everybody makes money,” she said.
“The women that bring by their clothing make money as do I. It’s women helping women.”
In addition to the used merchandise at the store, Balisacan makes many buying trips to the mainland to purchase the newest styles of clothing.
“I thought the Westside needed something like this,” she said. “It’s a way to give back to the community.
The women have been really appreciative.
“So far, the reception has been excellent and they have been really happy with what I have in here.”
The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and then 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
