In a recent TGI story on the outcome of the county’s 12 & Under boys basketball, the report we received was incorrect.
Hana Hou should have been identified as the 76ers with Kea Lopez (6-7) being the top scorer in that gameagainst Gee at Kilauea.
Lopez finished with 15 points including a blistering dozen markers notched in the first half alone.
Kekoa Prem(3-7) and Kalen Kakutani(2-3) each finished with nine points apiece to help the effort with Galen Lee(2-6) rounding out the 76ers’ scoring with four points.
Lopez was joined by Lee who came up with five steals each, and Prem led the rebounding for the 76ers with 11 in their win.
Cadiente leads Lihu‘e Sparks
Kelsey Cadiente scored 11 points to lead the Lihu‘e Sparks to a 30-10 win over Lihu‘e Tuesday night at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center as the county’s 12 and Under girls basketball season got underway.
Aimee Palaroan was the leading scorer for Lihu‘e with three points.
