Duke’s honors employees
Recognizing extraordinary employees throughout the year, Duke’s Canoe Club Kauai is proud to announce that Alex Amorin is its 2003 “Employee of the Year.”
Amorin, who was also the February “Employee of the Month,” was selected by Duke’s management team for continuously exceeding his normal work expectations.
As “Employee of the Year,” he will receive two round-trip inter-Island tickets, a special plaque and dining certificates for Duke’s and its sister restaurants on Maui and O‘ahu. His name will also be added to the “Employee of the Year” perpetual paddle, which is displayed at the restaurant.
Duke’s also announced that its Mea Ho‘okipa Quarterly award recipient for the fourth quarter 2003 is Froilan Madayag.
Kuhio Motors technician receives honor
Kuhio Motors employee Reymond Juan recently won top technician honors at the Hyundai Senior Master Technician competition, held in December in California.
The test is completed in two phases; first a written exam, then the technician must test his ability in competency tasks.
Of the 3100 Hyundai technicians in the country, 178 are Senior Master Technicians. Juan is the only one in Hawai‘i.
Bloss Joins RE/MAX
RE/MAX Kauai is pleased to announce that Greg Bloss has joined its Princeville office as a Realtor-Associate.
Born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, Bloss grew up appreciating the outdoors in the Rocky Mountains.
With over 21 years in a Colorado family business (Steam Way International), Greg was responsible for all sales on a world-wide basis. At Steam Way, he helped his clients establish there own successful businesses.
Kilauea Paint expands service
Byron Tone, owner of Kilauea Paint recently added U-Haul truck and trailer rentals to the services currently available.
Byron chose to make U-Haul rentals part of the business because of the international company’s well established name and reputation among customers.
