Tryouts for those interested in participating in the Pookela Volleyball Club’s Spring 2004 season will begin Jan. 8 from 5-7 p.m. at the Lihu’e Christian Church.
The Thursday, Jan. 8 tryouts are open to players age 12 and under as of Sept. 1. Tryouts will also be held on the same date for players age 14 and under as of Sept. 1, as well as for players age 16 and under as of Sept. 1.
A parent needs to accompany the player to sign a waiver form as well as pay the registration fee.
Players trying out also need to bring a water bottle as well as wear a shirt with a number.
For those who missed the initial Pookela meeting and are interested in trying out, please call Rich or Peggy Roberts at 332-7083 so organizers can get a head count of prospective players.
Those who are unable to make the Jan. 8 tryouts can also call to schedule an alternate date for tryouts.
