Glass Shack recently opens
Andrew Palmer and Kyle Doepke’s Glass Shack is open for business.
The duo specialize in on-site glass blowing as well as glass bracelets, pendants and jewelry. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday from 1-5 p.m.

Spa expands at Waiohai
Alexander Simson owner of the Alexander Day Spa & Salon at the Kauai Marriott resort recently expanded his day spa operations with the opening of a beach massage facility at the newly built Waiohai Marriott Resort.
The cabana is located with an unobstructed view of Po‘ipu beach and will be open daily for massage appointments.
The staff at Alexander’s Day Spa and Salon attended a Russian Sports Massage workshop presented by Richard Goff a well known massage therapy instructor in San Diego, Ca.
This method of specialty massage is used for muscle injuries, sprains and spasms. This treatment is now available at the day spa.
Kipi Lanning and Lucas Pautz recently joined the staff at the Alexander Salon.
Kipi has over 25 years experience in the beauty business including, owner of an Aveda Concept Salon in Kona and work with the hair product manufacturer ABBA and Toni & Guy of Honolulu. Lucas recently came to Kaua‘i from San Francisco’s Maiden Lane Salon and was once owner of a successful salon in Dallas, Texas.
Radisson honors employees
The Radisson Kauai Beach Resort recently honored their employees by holding its annual Associates Christmas Party in the Jasmine Ballroom with a lavish buffet dinner, dancing and an abundant amount of door prizes. Associates either brought canned goods or a toy for Toys for Tots to use as their admission ticket to the party.
Highlighting the party was the announcement by the new General Manager, Rob Gunthner, of the “2003 Employee of the Year”; Efren Domingo from the Beverage Department.
The 2003 Manager of the Year was Camie Kaohelaulii the Front Office Manager.
Both Associates exemplify the true Aloha Spirit and commitment to service excellence each and every day.
Also recognized for their hard work throughout the year were the 2003 Employees of the Month; Lodevena Valle, Naupaka Terrace; Leodi Negrillo Stewarding; Shawn Tangalin, Bell Desk; Efren Domingo, Beverage; Domingo Norial, Housekeeping; Daniel Braun, Driftwood Sandbar; Daniel Rice, Naupaka Terrace; Lynn Sheldon-lsobe, Naupaka Terrace; Glory Aceret, Housekeeping; Stella Kaui, Housekeeping; PeeWee Pucong, Administration and Shana Andres, Human Resources.
F-150 receives award
Motor Trend magazine recently named the Ford F-150 as the 2004 Truck of the Year.
“We are very pleased that the Ford F-150 has been named Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year,” said Steve Lyons, President-Ford Division.
