Kaua’i’s Christmas spirit will be broadcast across America to millions of viewers tonight on the A&E Network’s “Ultimate Holiday Town USA” television special.
The two-hour program will feature the “Lights on Rice” Christmas parade as one of America’s best small town holiday season parades.
The parade segment is to show about 40 lighted floats making their way down Rice Street with the parade ending at the historic County of Kaua’i building.
“Ultimate Holiday Town USA,” which airs at 7 p.m. HST, takes a look at the 20 best small town holiday celebrations across the country with populations under 50,000. More than 200 small towns applied for a chance to create the ultimate small-town Christmas celebration for the special by sending judges photos and footage of previous holiday events. The broadcast will also show viewers snippets of some of the funniest, most creative and most outlandish entries received.
