Police are investigating an incident that occurred early Saturday morning at 1:45 a.m., where a man was injured in the Princeville Airport parking lot. According to one witness on the scene, the man was dragged behind a vehicle through the parking lot fronting the Landing Pad Bar and Restaurant.
“Police responded to a report of a man injured by a vehicle,” said Cyndi Mei Ozaki, county spokeswoman. “Kaua’i Police Department officials are investigating what appears to be a hit-and-run that occurred near the Princeville Airport early Saturday morning.”
Police were called to the pedestrian traffic accident with injuries at about 1:45 a.m. The injured man was treated by medics at the scene and eventually taken to Queen’s Hospital by medevac.
The incident, classified as a hit-and-run traffic mishap, is under investigation by the KPD.
