Felix “Da Cat” Campos
Felix “Da Cat” Estigoy Campos of Lihu’e, died at his residence on Nov. 13, 2003 at the age of 78.
Born on March 18, 1925, he was a heavy equipment operator for the Hawaii Laborer Union.
He is survived by his wife, Rosaline Campos of Kahului, Maui; son, Glenn Campos of Waialua, O’ahu; three daughters, Sheila (Darryl) Lavarias of Waialua, O’ahu, Rosemarie/Lok’e Campos of Wailua, Kaua’i; Cynthia (Joe) Campos of Waialua, O’ahu; three sisters, Dalmacia (Eugenio) Silbolboro, of Honolulu, O’ahu, Flora (Paul) Kahaunaele of Wailua; Rosenda (Estanislao) Ancheta of Kealia; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Dec. 5, 11 a.m. to noon at Saint Catherine’s Catholic Church. Mass to begin at noon. A luncheon gathering will be held at Niumalu Pavilion following the service.
Jose Dinong
Jose Dinong of Hanama’ulu died Nov. 30, 2003, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 82.
A laborer for Dole Pineapple, he was born Nov. 6, 1921, in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife, Alejandra Y. Dinong of Hanama’ulu; four daughters, Zenaida (Mario) Valmoja of Hanama’ulu, Helen Dinong of Lana’i, Amelia (Lambert) Hidalgo of Las Vegas, Nev., and Josephine Dinong of Canada; four sons, Floro Dinong of Kaua’i, Jose Dinong of Lana’i, Juanito Dinong of Kaua’i, and Romea Dinong of Minnesota; one brother, Alfredo (Virginia) Dinong of Honolulu; four granddaughters and nine grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
Hisayo O. Niitani
Hisayo O. Niitani of ‘Ele’ele, died at home on Dec. 2, 2003 at the age of 71.
Born in Waimea, she was a retired teacher with the State of Hawai’i.
She is survived by her husband George; two daughters, Elizabeth (Stuart) Ho of Honolulu and Cheryl (Nelson Jr.) Yoshioka of Honolulu; three grandchildren; three brothers, George Okada of Waimea, Iwao Okada of Honolulu and Tsuneo Okada of Maui; one sister, Sadie Gallitelli of Illinois.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Waimea United Church of Christ. Service to begin at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Clarence Silva
Clarence Silva of Honolulu died at Straub Clinic and Hospital on Nov. 30, 2003, at the age of 70.
Born in Lawa’i Valley on Sept. 7, 2003, he was a retired supervisor for General Motors and was loved by many. He loved fishing and hunting and most of all loved his family and his Island of Kaua’i.
He is survived by his daughter, Clare B. Silva; five brothers, Gabriel Silva, Henry Silva, Johnny Silva, Gilbert Silva, James Silva; sister, Alga Pereira; granddaughter Tyftny and two other grandchildren. Many numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Dec. 12, 7 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 800 Kaheka St., Honolulu and again on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
