HONOLULU — Kaua’i High School’s Cody Kimura led the Red Raider boys soccer team to a third place finish in a pre-season tournament played on O’ahu over the weekend.
Kimura joined Jon-Peter Sit, and Kaleo Baxter in notching goals in Kaua’i’s opening 3-0 win over Kalaheo High School on Friday.
Kimura continued his goal-scoring with a pair on Saturday morning as Kaua’i posted a 2-0 win over Aiea before dropping to Punahou 1-0 in the Saturday afternoon encounter, Punahou rated as No. 2 in the state rankings.
Kaua’i faced the state’s top rated team, Mililani who earlier defeated Punahou, on Sunday in the tournament semi-finals only to drop to the Trojans 1-0 for the third place finish.
