The 2003 PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which brings together the winners of the year’s four major championships, is Dec. 5-6 at Poipu Bay golf Course and the Hyatt Regency Kaua’i in Hawai’i.
TNT will broadcast the TGA Grand Slam of Golf on Friday, Dec. 5 from 3:30 to 7 p.m., Eastern Time, and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific Time. Coverage concludes Saturday, Dec. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. Eastern Time, and 1 to 4 p.m. Pacific Time.
The PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which has the most difficult qualification standard in the game, brings together the winners of the year’s four major championships – the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open, and the PGA Championship.
In addition to Weir, the foursome includes British Open Champion Ben Curtis, U.S. Open Champion Jim Furyk, and PGA Champion Shaun Micheel.
Last year’s event saw Tiger Woods capture the title for the fifth straight time with a course-record 11-under-par 61.
The event is televised to some 86.7 million U.S. homes by TNT Network, and to more than 100 countries worldwide. The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is a two-day, 36-hole event featuring a $1,000,000 purse.
The PGA Grand Slam of Golf champion will earn $400,000.
